We got this scale because it connects to our Endicia online postal system developed by Dymo. We also have a Dymo 450 TwinTurbo label printer stocked up with all our general USPS postage and address labels. Click on the Dymo application on our Mac OSX, type in the weight and size information and out comes a prepaid postage label. We also use our scale to accurately mix pigments in our studio so the fact that it can be battery operated is rather nice since we just toss our scale into a ziplock bag and the rest is science. The down side is that it doesn't have an auto power-off function so if your aren't careful you could go through a set of batteries quick. Most of the time ours is plugged in via USB 2.0 which also powers the unit.
